Board of Directors Changes
London, U.K. – December 5th, 2025 — buildingSMART International (bSI) is today announcing some Board of Director changes.
Board Changes
Due to ill health, Alfred Waschl has stepped down from his role as Chair but will continue to serve as a Board Director.
In addition, two new members have been appointed as Non-affiliated Board Directors:
- Jugal Makwana
- Bjørn Stangeland
In accordance with the bye-laws, a general meeting of the International Council will be convened to appoint a new Chair. Eduard Dischke will continue in his role as Vice Chair and will act as the de facto Chair in the interim.
We extend our sincere thanks to Alfred for his leadership and dedication during his tenure as Chair, and we wish him a full and speedy recovery.
